Some days, we spend most of the day not even leaving Colter Bay. We have several nice hiking trails, and of course the lake itself. The Lake Shore trail is nice, but more for a short hike. Its about 2 miles or so, and doesn't have too much "uphill". The views are really nice though-especially right along the beach. Part of the trail is in the woods, which is nice since its a little cooler in the shade. The temperatures have been in the 70's-low 80's, but if the sun is out.....wow...its brutal in the sun. Of course, one of us is way more sensitive to the heat. HAhahaah. Can you guess who?

We have been spending the last few afternoons at the lake-just for a couple of hours. It has been sunny and warm lately, and the water is very cold. Should I just say...refreshing! The kids don't seem to mind, but there are not too many adults in the water. There are also a few kayaks and sailboats. I have my eye on the inflatable kayaks....looks like fun and looks like something we can fit in the camper. Hhmmm. Well, anyway, the lake is just fabulous.

The evenings are cool and crisp...usually gets into the 40's. Some of us stick with adult beverages, and some of us just prefer tea! Hahaha.
